I've had to "turn off" the ability to post to the guestbook for now. Somebody was spamming the guestbook with a bunch of links to junk. I tried fighting if for a while but it got really bad so I had to turn it off. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the future of the guestbook. I'll post here when I change it though.

Tyson Wilkie was sentenced for the deaths of Aaron and Gart Salmon, both Class C felonies, resulting in a sentence of 8 years for each felony to be served concurrently. Tyson had said at the sentencing hearing that he was pleading guilty to the charges and would accept whatever the judge decided. This, to me, is another example of Tyson not really meaning what he says (like being sorry for what he did) because he went on to appeal the sentencing judgement. The following link was provided to me by Eric Scheid. I'm not sure of the exact legal terminology of it, it's entitled "Opinion - For Publication" and seems to be either the opinion or hopefully judgement of the Appellate court.

  • Ben Atkinson has given me the words he wrote and spoke at Aaron's funeral service. I was very moved with what he had to say and realized that he truly described the character of Aaron and what Aaron meant to us. You can read them here.

This website is dedicated to the memory of Aaron Craig Sims. I wanted to be able to share not only my thoughts and stories but others' thoughts and stories about Aaron. He touched many people's lives and I invite you all to read, remember, and enjoy, and to submit anything to me that you might want posted. If you have any ideas for me, please feel free to share them as well. tburris@aaronsimsmemorial.com
