Folding Fork Leveling Procedure

Folding Fork Leveling Procedure

LEVELING BASILOID FOLDING FORKS

If folding forks are not level with each other, due to "settling" or springing from overloading, they can be leveled by adding shims between the heel block and the heel end of the fork. Drive out spring pins that hold the heel block to the fork. Add one or more shims to raise the tip end of the fork. Remove shims to lower tip end. Replace heel block and spring pins after forks are level.
